Peterborough United's attacking winger George Boyd has recently been linked with Premiership side Tottenham Hotspur!

With only a few out-and-out Left Midfielders / Wingers. Bos Harry Redknapp hasn't commented on the speculation as of yet. But the Peterborough United fans are said to "worried" by the latest news.

Peterborough United secured permanent deals on 3 of their defenders yesterday.

Ryan Bennett, Exodus Geohaghon and Scott Griffiths were all on-loan at Peterborough United. And have all secured long-term deals.

Ryan Bennett has signed a 4-and-a-half year deal. Whilst Geohaghon and Griffiths signed 3-and-a-half-year deals.

All defenders are said to be delighted with the battle of surviving relegation!

If Peterborough United fans had any doubts about their team surviving relegation - then these were severly crushed as they lost 2-1 to hard-fighting Sheffield Wednesday.

Marcus Tudgay added to his goal tally this season after netting 2 goals past England Under-21 keeper Joe Lewis. Jake Livermore was the Posh player who gave the traveling fans just a glimer of hope in terms of winning the game.

After a run of poor defeats and peformances - Peterborough boss Mark Cooper has a huge job to do as he tries to continue to save the Championship strugglers from relegation.

Before today's game with Sheffield Wednesday - Peterborough lie 24th, having played 25 games, and have only gained a shocking, 18 points.
