The news that five or six parties are interested in buying Liverpool will have been greeted with joy by the club's fans.

At times it has seemed like Tom Hicks and George Gillett would never relinquish their poisonous grip on the club and the damage inflicted during their three year tenure risked becoming permanent.

However, with news of Kenny Huang's official bid filtering through it seems a change is indeed on the horizon. The whole bid process is too complicated and...

I think it is safe to say that the appointment of Roy Hodgson was not met by universal approval on Merseyside.

The 62-year-old is experienced and has an extensive CV, but many believe it is a step down after the talents of Rafa Benitez.

Moores' emotional outburst contained an appeal for the pair to leave Anfield now to avoid "damaging a sporting institution of global renown" any further, and to spare the suffering Reds fans further punishment.

All very genuine stuff I'm...

Credit has to go to the Spirit of Shankly group for their work in galvanising the growing opposition against Liverpool's owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett.
As part of their protest they are set to meet Premier League chief Richard Scudamore this week in order to discuss the Premier League's fit and proper persons test and voice their concerns at the behaviour of the current Reds owners.

On the face of it the evidence against the duo is damming. Their promise to begin work...
