Brazil sweat on Kaka

Brazil have always been seen as a flair side, with players like Pele and Socrates teaching other nations a footballing lesson in major competition.
However, current coach Dunga has taken a new approach, placing a greater value on organisation and defensive solidity, a far cry from the days of old but it by no means makes them a worse team. Indeed, they are still attracting many World Cup bets.
In fact, this style of playing actually means the flair players who are included in the squad have a tougher task. It's their job to ensure Brazil retain the spectacular edge needed to win a World Cup. There is no room for egos here, and this explains why Ronaldinho has been left out.
It also means that the fitness of Kaka is even more important than it would have been. He spent six weeks of the tail end of the season injured and both he and his manager know the player has to be in top form if the side is to go all the way in South Africa.
